Laboratory: The Qualisteel Foundry quality control team has two laboratories which are available to carry out tests and analyses, to assure that the quality of products manufactured is in accordance with customers’ needs for traceability, within international quality standards.

• Liquid penetrant test(s): to locate defects open to the surface of nonporous materials.
• Traction test with forged steel test sample: allows material tensile strength to be measured satisfactorily.
• Dimensions: Usually performed on a sample of prototypes before the whole batch is forged.
• Chemical This includes chemical analysis to determine each alloy.
• Hardness/Mechanical Properties: Destructive and non-destructive tests to ensure the efficiency of the thermal treatment and the integrity of the forged product.
• Outsourced Tests: (ex. Magnetic Particles (Magma-flux ), Ultrasound and X-Ray)
To ensure the quality of its forged products, Qualisteel also applies rigorous tests to all raw material received.
• Dropping Point: This test is applied to waxes and their general components. It determines the point at which the wax passes from a semi-solid to a liquid state under test conditions.
• Ash Content: This determines the ash content of the wax, pitch and similar materials. The ash content is expressed as the percentage of residue remaining after complete combustion.
• Humidity Content: Determination of the humidity content (as a percentage) of input materials, by eliminating water by controlled heating, verifying the differences in weight, before and after.
• pH: Determination of the pH values of raw materials and process products.
• Colloidal Silica Content: This describes the method for testing for purity of silica used as a raw material.
• Baths’ Gelification: This evaluates the quality of chelating agent, which is determined by accelerating the conditions at room temperature.
• Density: Measures the density of colloidal silica as a raw material and in the baths.
• Linear Contraction:Tests the linear contraction of wax after release for injection.
